Today's OneWord is "Expectancy"

 

El Chay (Living God), we come to the throne room of Expectancy this morning

 

You are showing us Your strength!

 

Heavenly Father, Most Gracious God, we look to You, O God as You sit on Your throne. We lift our eyes to You, Father. We are glad that You always consistent. We are glad that You are our source of Joy that is impossible to capture in words. You the Lord Almighty is with us. You are the most excellent of Kings. "You are our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble" (Psalms 46:1).   We love and adore You because You are worthy to be praised. Father, our heart's prayer is that we capture "I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like Him in His death" (Phil. 3:10). Father, we also pray that "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better" (Eph. 1:17).  Father, grant us the ability to remember Your promises that are waiting because we are Your children.

 

Father, Deuteronomy 4:31 say, "For the Lord your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon or destroy you or forget the covenant with your forefathers, which he confirmed to them by oath." Lord we lift our eyes to the hills to where our help comes from. Our help comes from You who made heaven and earth. Your foot will not slip or stumble. You do not get tired, nor do You sleep. You watch over us to keep us from falling. You stand at our sides to protect us so that the sun can not harm us by day or the moon by night. You deliver us from evil, and You preserve our soul. You watch over us day and night as we come and as we go. Surely Your goodness and mercy follow us all the days of our lives.

 

Our heart's prayer is according to Ps. 68:28, "Summon Your power, O God, Show us your strength, O God, as you done before". Grant us the ability to know that when we are weak; we can be strong. When we feel the suffering or defeat of this life let us know that we are conquerors. Father, would you take away our wavering faith, weaken gifts, and replenish and revive us? Father, our prayer today is to, "Proclaim the power of God, whose majesty is over Israel, whose power is in the skies. You are awesome, O God, in your sanctuary; the God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!" (Ps 68:34-35).

 

The Bible said, "If you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul" (Deut. 4:29). Grant us the desire to seek for You. Grant us the tenacity to never give up. Father, James said, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you" (James 4:7-8). I pray that our hearts trust solely in Jesus and live for Him alone.

 

We praise You, my God and the Father of Jesus, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Therefore, since You blessed us no man can curse us. We are thankful that You are preparing a table before us in the presence of our enemies, and You anointed our head with oil. We are going to dwell in Your presence all the days of our lives, and we cannot be moved.  In Jesus' name we seal this pray with expectancy. Amen
