Real!

Today's OneWord is 'Real'

Suppose the Lord Himself come before us. What would He say to all of us? Would He say we are genuine or are phony? Are we seeking forgiveness or still wallowing in sins? Are we searching our heart? What do we see? Is Jesus in there? Do we love the Lord or still pretending? How are we living Monday – Saturday? Many of us remember Sunday is the holy day!

The Definition for phony as defined by the dictionary is a person who is not real or genuine, fake, counterfeit, false or deceiving, not truthful, concocted, insincere or deceitful, and who appears to be affected or pretentious. This can also designate a man or woman who pretends to be something that they are not. They pretend to be a faithful servant, but are not. They profess to love Jesus, but they do not. Did your check engine light show warnings? You know what a check engine light…warning, danger, watch out, pull over, stop, and beware mean…. Maybe, we ignore these signs because we have a bug or blemish in our character and our diagnostic check cannot pick it up.

I have learned if we lie to ourselves, we will lie to others. Imagine being taught by the perfect Teacher or Preacher the world has ever known and yet betray Him? Jesus taught Judas, Himself. He walked, slept, and ate in the same place where Jesus was. Yet, Judas still betrayed Him. There are people today who represent just like Judas. They show outward motions. Check your surroundings, people are preaching, singing, praying and reading the Bible, but they live a life contrary to what the Word of God says. It is possible to fool people, but you cannot fool God! Judas and phony people failed to get their heart right with God. They have hidden agendas and wrong motives for serving God. Jesus said in Mathews 7:23, "And then I will declare to them: I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

Ask yourself, am I a true believer if I am "cursing like a sailor," or "Spirit filled sealed by the blood follower" who smokes a joint every day for a self-diagnosed eye problem? Are you honest or counterfeit? Do you go through the outward motions: going to church, praying, and talking about the Bible, without your understanding being moved? Are you fooling others? Do not be a phony Christian, be a REAL bought with the blood, sold out for Jesus, Christian! It is time for us to look and behave like His children. Why? Because we are with Him. We are His representatives here on earth. Show the world what a REAL believer is! Make our Daddy proud!

Newness!

Today's OneWord is 'Newness'.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. (Ephesians 3:3, NIV)

We have the power to live a new life. God says, "Therefore my people go into exile for lack of knowledge" (Isaiah 5:13). Many people are being held in bondage or defeated lives because they do not know the wisdom or knowledge of God's power in their life. Our lack and understanding of God's Word can go way beyond oppression because of lack of knowledge. We cannot live our lives thinking that we can pull the rug over God's eyes. A Bible sitting on the table means a life in stagnation. We cannot do what is right if we do not know what is right. Any basketball player can run to the basket, but only the one with the ball is capable of scoring. We must know the strategies for winning this game called life. Ask the Coach, the strategies are in His Word.

Let us pose few a questions. Is there anything in your life that is feeding your flesh-layers of impurities you want to release? How many Christians have crashed their faith after trying to please God in their own abilities and strength? Simply put-Believers are not prosperous in life because they believe what men and women have taught out of tradition, intellectual Doctrine, or strong-willed feelings rather than seeking God's revelation for themselves in Scriptures.

In order for us to become new, we must study the Word of God so that when Satan comes we can defeat him with the Word of God. We cannot handle the enemy but the Word of God can handle him. What doors of opportunity are shut because we do not seek the kingdom of God first? Sin cannot tell us how to live, but the Word of God, the truth, declares that no sin has dominion over us. Our own flesh to rage, anger, substance abuse, stubbornness, gossip, slander, adultery, lying, pornography, or any other impurity, once imprisoned us. This caused us to live an ungodly life. Jesus came and unlocked the prison door. We can now walk out of prison free. We are no longer a slave to sin. "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1).

If you are tired of the evil ways or things in your life that are not pleasing to God ask Him to make you over again so that you can walk in your 'Newness'. The Bible says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36).

Forward!

Today's OneWord is 'Forward'

There is no one like the Lord. No one is so faithful. He is the one that we need. We have searched all over and could not find anyone greater than God.

How we begin, our day will determine the outcome of our day. Our morning has ears, waiting for us to speak declaration words that will impregnate the day. When we command our morning in obedience to His Word, we can shut the mouth of our naysayers, our past, our haters, and people who said we were nothing.

This morning as we rise early to declare His Word, open our mouth and speak life into our situations. Declare and come into an agreement with the heavens to decree His promises. Ask God to release His hidden secrets concerning us today. Today is the day that our appointed time is set by God to decree and tell our past goodbye. Tell the haters on our job goodbye. Tell fear goodbye. Tell low self-esteem goodbye. Tell the people who do not like us goodbye. Today, command that every evil thought or demonic agenda designed against us will not prosper. Speak goodbye! We will not allow others to tell us who we are. We will no longer hold on to relationships that will not bring out the 'King or Queen' in us. We will no longer let people abuse us mentally, physically, or emotionally. We will no longer accept less than what we deserve. We will no longer allow people to use our 'used to be days' against us. We all used to be something!

Today, we are declaring that our latter days are better. We are declaring victory over our enemies this day. Philippians 3:13 states, "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead' (NLT).

Necessity!

Today's OneWord is 'Necessity'

All honor and glory is due to God. I am so grateful to be back in the USA. The mission trip in Kenya was truly a breathtaking opportunity to see God move. I went to Kenya expecting to help them, but the tables turned they helped me. My desire of awareness and comprehension for God is much deeper. We can never fully understand the depth and knowledge of God. His ways or not our ways and His thoughts are not ours. Africa was extremely humbling, yet it lit an entirely new fire and tenacity for me to preserve.

The people in Malindi endured daily to make the best out of their situation. They never complained and always gave God praise because they knew He promised. For a lot of us, life sometimes hands us inconveniences. Our car break; unexpected problems delay plans. On our way to work traffic backed up, or our flight to a crucial meeting delayed for hours. These few items would have a lot of us in an uncompromised and ungodly temperament. Yet, we woke up in a home, had a car to drive, food on the table, but we focused on the things that did not go our way. That is part of our daily life.

Let us evaluate what is part of Malindi village's everyday life. What if you had no running water? You can have some if you would walk miles in the villages to retrieve it. What if there was no toilet? You can relieve yourself if you would go in the fabricated bushes. What if there was no bed to get a pleasant night's sleep? Rest is available, but you would have to lay on the dirt floor since that is the bed. In the USA, getting up to go to the bathroom in our homes is not a necessity; it a privilege, Taking a shower or bath when we want to is not a need; it is a luxury. Having a choice of food to choose from is not a staple; it is an honor. However, they live their everyday life from necessity, and we live from appetite.

They are holding on to hope because of what God has promised. When I look at my own inconveniences, I must say I have to repent. We barely hold on to God promises when we cannot buy that new purse, shoes, or dress. We think all hell has broken lose when we cannot keep up with the Jones (Who are they anyway?). Nevertheless, they endure and hold on tightly to what He has promised. We should anticipate more than inconveniences. Just like the servants in Malindi, we are vessels used for the kingdom. We should be able to handle any trial that comes our way! They hold on for life; we hold on to fill our wants. They hold on because Jesus promised; we hold on because we expect it. What are we holding on too? God is faithful, and we can always trust Him to keep His promises.

Blessed!

Heavenly Father, We come to You now in the name of Jesus. We ask that You will send Your Word to heal us, give us sweet sleep tonight, and deliver us our destruction. We ask according to 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, "Oh that You would bless us indeed, and enlarge our territory, that Your hand would be with us, and that You would keep us from evil, and that we may not cause pain!" We ask You to grant us this request in Jesus name. Amen!

Fearless!

Let's just say God gets all the glory, honor, and praise for who we are. What the enemy means for weakness, God has already triumphed. "Now Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place" (2 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV). We should recognize that every victory through faithfulness should bring praises to God. God wants us to be obedient and take a risk so that we do not miss opportunities for Him to strengthen and bless us. The way to know if we are on the right path is to trust God with all areas of our life. He wants us to trust Him to complete inconceivable things we could never accomplish on our own. He loves us enough to position visions and dreams in our minds and hearts for His kingdom to be glorified.

Do you ever take the time to thank God for your ministry or the gift He has given you? I realize that He has given me the responsibility of helping others. I want to have the sweet smell of victorious, life-giving, and noticeable presence of God over my life. I know our Chivalrous God keeps His eyes upon us and protects us as we work for Him. There may be times when we fear the unknown, but we have to rest in assurance that God has made us competent and helpful. We are to focus on what He can do through us not what we can do on our own abilities. If you want a mature understanding of God's love, then we must know that God's love has no fear. 1John 4:17 (NCV) states, "Where God's love is, there is no fear, because God's perfect loves drives out fear."

God loves to redeem our failures and transform our mistakes into part of His plan and destinies for our lives. We are to take a risk and face our fears so that we will not live a life of regrets. If I had not taken a risk and conquered my fears, my life would have been another wasted moment of God's time and His kingdom not being glorified. What is God presently calling you to take a risk on? Join me and take a risk for Him because we are fearless!

OneWordMovement Wants Your Story

Anchored!

How long are we going to allow untouched potential remain dormant in us because of hurtful words spoken to us in a careless moment? What about curses in our lives because of criticism and the damage done to us as children? Speak to those curses," With the authority of His Word, His Name, and His Blood, I nullify you!" We must declare and decree that these words no longer take root in our mind. Statements like: 'You are just like...' or 'You will never...' or 'It is too late...' Amen! Jesus says in Mark 5:41, "... I say to you, Arise".

We are purpose-driven, kingdom- minded, success-oriented sons and daughters of God. We are to not to be distracted by insignificant people or things. We are to ask God to turn every curse sent our way into a blessing. We must realize that God favors us because our enemies do not win. Phil. 1:6, "God began a good work in you, and I am sure He will continue it until it is finished when Jesus Christ comes again".

No matter where we run, no matter where we hide, we cannot run from God. He loves us too much. He will not let us go. He has locked Himself to us, and He owns the only key. John 3:16, "For God so LOVED the world that He gave His only begotten Son...".

There are so many distractions that move us away from God. Reevaluate and ask ourselves," Am I anchored in God?" We need to know how to remain in God in a time of trouble. If we lose our jobs, He is still God. In the mist of a troubled marriage, He is still God. In bankruptcy, chemotherapy, going to court, in jail, low self- esteem, in hospital, no money in bank, grief, and suffering, He is still God. Romans 8:35-39 declares, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?"...neither ... nor anything...". He is still God!

When we focus on what God said in His Word and sincerely praise Him, God will move on our behalf. Focus on what He promised us. We can be sure that God is faithful to fulfill His Word to us. God promised to deliver us out of every problem. He just did not say when. Psalms 34:4 says, "I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from ALL my fears". We are to be steadfast and anchored until our change come. Our change is coming because we are anchored.

Renewed!

It is astonishing how we listen to others about ourselves. We want to feel understood and experience the love that God intended for us to have. Everybody wants to experience love! However, our relationships are the experiences of personal beliefs. We get out of the relationship what we think we deserve by what we believe about ourselves.

The greatest contribution we can give to anyone is to love and accept ourselves. As long as we believe that we are unworthy of love, respect, and "not good enough" then we will reciprocate the same characteristics to others. Sometimes, we say to ourselves, 'That I am not good enough'. Have you ever wondered how those negative words have a lasting impact with our outcome? How it affects our home, work, or even your environment.

Where are you today? Where are you in life? Before I got married to Todrick, I had a lot of psychological baggage that needed to be unpacked. The strongholds of abandonment and rejection kept me moving place to place trying to find me. Every week something had to be different. I was allowing these oppressions to keep me from reaching my purpose. I was not happy with me. I did not like me. I did not want to be alone. I did not want to face my problems. I did not want to sit still. I did not want to look in the mirror. I did not know how to improve. I certainly can reflect now that until I liked me, nothing I did was gracious enough, but God allowed it for my good. I recognized that in order for Todrick to love me as the Bible commands, I had to obey God's commandment to love your neighbor as you LOVE yourself.

Loving ourselves is about healing the heart so the outside can radiate the inner beauty. I realized that if I wanted to be a woman that respected her husband I would have to take a chance and a significant risk to love me. I did not just want all the finer things, academic accolades, or professional credentials and not have inner beauty and peacefulness. I am sure you have heard the phrase, "That an environment can encourage peace of mind, but no environment can give you peace of mind". I did not come up with the statement, but I can understand its meaning. When I began to change how I saw myself, my outlook on life changed. My attitude and my desire to live changed. I decided to live on purpose.

When we are not being satisfied with ourselves, our actions will reflect who we are. We must stop allowing others to validate us, desire us, and love us more than we do ourselves. We attract what we are. Do not place higher demands on others that we have not put on ourselves. As long as we cannot love and accept ourselves, we are incapable of loving others the way God intended.

It is always tempting to blame our problems on others, but we only need to ask ourselves what have we contributed to the issues in our life? What behavior attracted this type of outcome? What role did we play? In addition, what responsibility should we take? What did God tell us to do? We must take responsibility for our part of the circumstances, by being honest with ourselves and seeking God for guidance. He will lead our paths in the right direction. People will only treat us the way we treat ourselves. I am renewed because I love me! NOW, I am ready to serve others!

Succeed!

Father thanks for Your love and compassion today!

Father, You are an Awesome God. We know that Your Word is true. We thank You for waking us up this morning! We thank You for dispatching Your angles of protection last night! I praise Your Holy Name. Thank You Lord, O Lord, You are our God; we exalt Your Holy Name. We give thanks to You; for You have plans formed long ago and worked out Your plans in our life. You are our strength and our song; glory to Your name!

Father, I pray the Holy Spirit will sweep the storms of Your children's life and let them stand in victory over the principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in high places over debt, rudeness, anger, and bitterness because You are with them.

Father, You have opened unto them Your good treasure and blessed the work of their hands. You have commanded blessing upon them in the storehouse and all that they do. Allow them to delight in prosperity because You give them power to get wealth.

Your Word says "For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you…thoughts and plans for welfare, and peace, and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome" (Jer. 29:11). Father, I desire with all my heart for your children to walk in love, and not partake in anything that will sabotage their relationships with others. Heal all past wounds and hurts that have controlled their behavior and speech. Teach them to guard their hearts with diligence, for out of it flow the very issues of life. Teach them to speak the truth in love in their homes, at work, any public place, while they are driving, in the store, in church, with their friends, and in all relationships.

Father, instruct them "to walk by faith and not by sight" (2Cor 5:7). Father, I decree and declare a prophetic advancement of their mind and thoughts. I abolish every evil thought of negativity, self-defeating thought to be put under their feet. Father, I ask that they decree a thing, and it shall be established. I ask that You endow them the boldness to instruct and encourage themselves that no setbacks are in their path, but they will live a life filled with success, love, peace, forgiveness, joy, and abundance. Father let them persist and pursue until they are successful. You said in Your Word that their hands are blessed. Therefore, Father whatever they touch let it prosper.

Father thanks for loving them unconditionally. I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus to be our Savior. I seal this prayer with the belief in Jesus' name. Amen.

Activate!

Most Gracious Father, Our Creator, our Savior and the Love of our life, I pray for Your children according to Ephesians 1:16-19, "I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him".

I also pray for Your children today according to Colossians 1:9-12, "So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding. Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better. We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light".

I pray that each person who has a critical need, or any hardship that is giving them grief, sleepless nights, worry, and keeping them trapped that You grant them increased faith. Father allow them to activate their faith by calling on the name of Jesus and allow them to believe and expect the impossible. Father, I pray that they step out in faith and receive Your promises today.

In the name of Jesus, I pray Amen!
