He Waited!

We have such a great God. I am reminded of the story in the Bible about the woman at the well. Society perceived this woman to be cheap, carnal, abused, broken, and wounded, who had five husbands and was shacking up. However, Jesus sat at the well waiting for her to come. He sat patiently waiting for her and says, "Give me to drink".  Jesus didn't need her to give Him water. He was already at the well. He is the Messiah. He doesn't need anyone to do anything for Him. Yet, He waited. He waited for this woman that society deemed unacceptable and insignificant. Yet, He waited. He waited to give her a new talk. Yet, He waited because He loved her. He waited to grant her a new start. He waited to heal her from the inside out. He waited because He knew her hurts, pain, and secret thoughts. It blows my mind that He waited! He waited to give her a new way to live. He waited to quench her thirst. He waited to give her living water. He waited and gave His time, even though she had so many excuses. He still waited.

Today, He is waiting for you. This woman was dysfunctional like many of us but He is so mindful of us that He waits. He knows our issues and cares. Yet, He waits for us to come to Him. He changed her life and gave her a new name. She was so honored that He waited; she had to run and tell everybody about a Man, who waited for her at the well. Jesus waited for me when I was fouled up, messed up, bent up, and been around the block and over the hill. Yet, He waited! He waited when I didn't know He was waiting! He waited when I didn't see clearly. He waited when I was out of His will. He waited when I was of the world. He waited when I didn't want to live. He waited when I wanted to give up. He waited in my rejection. He waited in my aloneness. He waited for me to come to Him. He just waited! He waited when I didn't have an intimate relationship with Him. He still waited. I am overjoyed because He waited! I know who I used be and what I used to do. However, He knows and yet He chose to wait for me! I love Him so much because He waited. God like to use people that society cast away. He told this woman, "I thirst. If you knew who it was that ask you for something to drink you should have asked Me for living water."

He can reach us and turn anything around. He is God! He is in our life at all times. Who is the woman at the well? She was nameless. However for me her name was Monica. I was a dysfunction of issues but now you can see His glory in my life. The devil was always trying to tell me something about me. I stopped the enemy in his tracks because I remembered He waited for me! Have you ever been thirsty? The kind of thirst that you need a new way of living. The kind of thirst that you want freedom. The kind of thirst that you will not settle for less than what you deserve.  Are you thirsty? Are you so thirsty that you can't get enough of God?  The thirst only He can quench. I thirst for more of Him! I Hunger for a deeper relationship with Him. I just want some living water. Are you thirsty? He is waiting for you!

Much love,
