Today's OneWord is "Growth"
God is never a trend. He is never out of date. He is always who He says He is. He has never changed. He has never broken a promise. He has His own standards. He is the God who heals. He is the God who loves. He is the God who forgives. God sees our every move, hears our every thought, and loves us with our every flaw. The past several weeks have been a challenging time, but God is still faithful.
In life, we will have moments or pockets of uncertainty. We will have things that happen to us that will cause us to seek deeper inside of who we are. We will allow what people say or do to us to take presence in our thoughts. We will begin to explore these things so that truth may be pierced within us. Psalms 51:6, "Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place".
Even though these times may seem unclear or deceitful, God is always there to guide us through His Word, His Spirit, and even through people. I realized that God does not do everything thing, but He allows all things. I believe if this moment of difficult were for my furtherance then I would go through this circumstance so that hidden issues that needed to be revealed would not block my growth.
I realize, a deep look inside can strengthen our sense of personal awareness of our love for God and others. The Word says, "From our innermost being shall flow rivers of living water". People may not be who they say they are. People may hurt you. People may even manipulate or lie to you. It may cause us pain and hurt that hits the core of what we thought. However, whatever the circumstance don't you dare quit, stop, give up, or throw in the towel. God is still there to keep His promise. He is there because He is faithful. He cannot change. God may have to correct us or chasten us, but He still loves us.
Today, if this is a time when you do not know who you are remember God is still faithful. God's grown folks grace will show you yourself and things will be fine. He is faithful who has called us and He will complete His job. Nobody can stop you, but you! Get up from the hurt, discouragement, and set back and put your trust in God. 3 John 2 says, "Beloved, I wish above all things that you mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."
