Today's OneWord is 'Testing'

I had to be reminded today!

I thought it was worth reposting.

Today's OneWord is 'Testing'

Today is the day the Lord has made, and we are to be glad!

The Lord tests our faith, not just in the great crisis of life, but even more in the small unexpected events, such as a sudden sickness, spouses upset us, co-workers frustrations, lost keys, ice maker will not work, or an irritating interruption. The way we respond in these situations will indicate what is in our heart. What life does to us depends on what life finds in us. If we love and trust the Lord, we will leave the matter with Him and do what He tells us. However, if we question the Lord and rebel because we are not getting our way, we are in danger of not passing the test.

We must have a grateful heart. If we are in the habit of thanking the Lord in everything, including the painful experience of life, then the Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with love and praise instead of Satan filling us with bitter venom.

Rest assured "Massahs" (testing) and "Meriahs" (quarreling) are marked on our journey of faith. We can shut the door in Satan's face and pass this test. We are going to be challenged. However, we will not quit and give in to our fears. Let us stand boldly on Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

Let us be grateful and thankful in all situations no matter what. I am grateful to God that His mercies are new every morning.

Today's OneWord is "Abide"

Lord our Rock, our Refuge, "You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress" (Isaiah 25:4). We come to the throne room of Reward this morning.

Father, we pray according to Psalm 91.

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust."

Surely, He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler [a] And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers,  And under His wings you shall take refuge;  His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night,  Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,  Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side,  And ten thousand at your right hand;  But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look,  And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge,  Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you,  Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you,  To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up,  Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra,  The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. "Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;  I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;  I will be with him in trouble;  I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him,  And show him My salvation." In Jesus' name we pray Amen.

Today's OneWord is "Command"

Our Mighty God, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given… And he will be called…Mighty God" (Isa. 9:6). We come to the throne room of Courage this morning.

In the name of Jesus, we reject all strongholds that have been swimming in our life for a long time. We will not allow these strongholds to remain any longer. We cast down any thoughts and imagination that have been contrary to the revelation of God's promises from His Word about who we are, what we can do, or what we can have.

We have determined in our heart that we will believe Your promises You made to bless Abraham and his descendant, and including each of us. We will not allow unbelief to enter into our heart. Father, Joshua 1:6 says, "Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them".

We command the spirit of confusion and disorder out of our life and the lives of our family. We thank You, Father for placing in us the desire to seek Your face for today and our future. Help us to hear Your voice and learn from the Holy Spirit.

Father, we are "Holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain" (Philippians 2:16).

We declare and decree that we are living our best life now. In Jesus' powerful name, Amen.

Today's OneWord is "Joy"

Our Morning Star, "I am the root, and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star" (Rev 22:1). We come to the throne room of Restoration this morning.

Our Eternal Hope, Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light on our paths. We have seen limitations, but Your command is without limit. Lord, Your Word is forever; it is firmly fixed in heaven. May You bless us from heaven so that we will see the prosperity all the days of our life, and see our children's children. Joyful is the one who fears You. Our mouths are filled with laughter, and our tongues with shouts of joy. Lord restores our peace like sitting by the ocean side gleaming at Your glory. We may shout in tears at night, but Your Word says we will reap in joy in the morning!

Search us, God, and know our heart; test us and know our concerns. See if there is any offensive way in us; lead us in the everlasting way. Father, set up a guard for our mouth; keep watch at the door of our lips. Do not let our heart turn to any evil thing. Our prayer is set before You as incense, and the raising of our hands as an offering.

Hallelujah! How good and pleasant it is when we live in harmony together. Praise God, for God is great. God, Your name endures forever. Your reputation is through all generations. You vindicate Your people and have compassion for Your servants. Hallelujah!

We look to You our Lord. We decree and declare that we are restored to joy this morning. We will be the light of the world today. In Jesus' name Amen.

Today's OneWord is "Refuse"

Our Wonderful Counselor, we come to the throne room of Release this morning.

Gracious God when we see the invisible, we know that You can do the impossible. Father this morning; we pray that You grant us the opportunity to walk by faith and not by sight. We pray that You provide us the perseverance to tap into life and experience the impossible. We ask You to superimpose Your wisdom unto us so we can comprehend "I can do all things through Him who strengthens me" (Phil 4:13).

Lord, thank You for caring about how much our heart has been hurt. You know the pain of each of your children. Right now, we release all that pain into Your hands. Thank You, Jesus for dying on the cross for us and extending Your forgiveness to us. Right now Father, we choose to forgive and not let that pain block our blessings. We remove all thoughts of revenge and emotional hatred. We trust in Your time and Your way, You will deal with the lives of the people who have hurt us. We thank You for giving us the ability to forgive so that we can be set free. We take all the pain from the past and release into Your hands. We choose to forgive those who have hurt us. We refuse to walk in defeat. Therefore, we decided to walk in forgiveness. In Jesus' Name Amen!
