Walking!

Today's OneWord is "Walking"

Many years I wondered what it felt like in my mother's womb. I wondered if she rubbed her stomach when I kicked. Did she smile when I gave her heartburn? Was I going to make a difference in her life? Was she excited about my future, the unlimited possibilities that God had for me. Was she excited about my birth? I wondered if she were ready to love or receive unconditional love. Today, I still do not know the answer, but I can tell you God knew the outcome.

I knew that if God loved me, I could do incredible things. I could accomplish anything. I could achieve anything. I could believe the impossible. I could learn anything. There is no doubt that God loves me. What can stand against me now? I knew if I could rise, if I could trust, if I could open my heart, I could win. I did not know the outcome, but I knew that if I played the victim, If I did not love, If I did not forgive, I would die. God knew that once I started walking there was no stopping me. He knew that I was not capable of staying in the valley too long. Because God loves me, He knew I may lie down at the bottom of the mountain, but once I rose, I was going to have some mountain top moments.

I could not see and know everything about what happened, but one day I knew I would get answers. Something inside of me could not stop hoping, pushing, and believing. Something about my life kept drawing me closer to God. Something about His power and peace that kept telling me that I was not standing alone on the edge of the cliff, I did not have to jump. Therefore, since I had to endure the pain or pay the price to live, I decided to keep on walking. I decided I was not going to look back, but I was going to have the determination and courage to succeed, to win back a better, kinder, healthier me.

Maybe you are at the edge of the cliff like I was, stuck on if; wondering about the past, "Can I make it? Can I rise? If I jump will God catch me?" I know that if you never believe, if you never trust, you will never know. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith and trust God. One thing I know, I know that I am a witness because I kept walking.

"Yearning"

Today's OneWord is "Yearning"
I pray for Your children according to Colossians 1:9-12 (Message), "Be assured that from the first day we heard of you, we have not stopped praying for you, asking God to give you wise minds and spirits attuned to His will, and so acquire a thorough understanding of the ways in which God works. We pray that you will live well for the Master, making Him proud of you as you work hard in His orchard. As you learn more and more how God works, you will learn how to do your work. We pray that you will have the strength to stick it out over the long haul-not the grim strength of gritting your teeth, but the glory-strength God gives. It is strength that endures the unendurable and spills over into joy, thanking the Father who makes us strong enough to take part in everything bright and beautiful that He has for us."

I pray that Your son/daughter who has a critical need, or any hardship that is giving them grief, sleepless nights, worry, and keeping them trapped that You grant them increased faith. Let us begin to cry out and say, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us! Save us from ourselves." Father, we believe because we know about Jesus' reputation. We trust and know Jesus as a Healer, a Provider, a Counselor, the Prince of Peace, and a Way Maker. Father, we activate our faith by calling on the name of Jesus. We believe and expect the impossible. Father, we pray that each of us step out in faith and receive Your promises today. Lord come and show Thyself to us. We yearn to be near You. This we ask in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ who loves us. Amen.

"Cheerful"

Today's OneWord is "Cheerful"

Why are Christians not happy? What causes us not to be the most cheerful people in the entire world?  What is it that makes you happy? What cheers you up or makes you smile? Is it your children? Is it the material things we own? Is it our marriage or the status we have? Is it our health or our jobs? Just what is it that brings you joy? We have buy things. We increase in things, and we multiply in things, but then we add God. Why are Christians not cheerful? Maybe it is God's position in our life.

"Me"

Today's OneWord is "Me"

God loves us. He created us to because He loves us. When He created the heaven and the earth and all things that are upon the earth, He kept saying, "It was good" (Genesis 1:4, 10, 12, 18, 21, 25). However, when God created you and me in His own image He looked and said, "It was very good" (Gen. 1:31). He rejoiced in the fact that He created something very good. And He was glad about it. He is the same omniscient, awesome, eternal, all wise, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, invisible God, infinite, boundless, the God of our mothers and fathers, and the God we call "our Father which art in heaven." God made everything and contains it all in His heart. He cannot be measured or weighed. You cannot apply distance, space, or time to Him. God rises above all things, at the same time He is a gentle, good-natured, gracious, loving, and kindhearted God. It gives Him good pleasure to see His children with joy. He was willing to send His Son to die for humanity.

It is impossible for God to be anything and not be perfect. Only God can claim perfection. When we say that God is good, that His loves endures forever, we mean that He has a heart that is infinite, compassionate, and boundless. God is mercy. He never changes. Scripture says that He is, "upholding all things by the Word of His power". (Heb. 1:3).

God holds the whole world in His hands. It is natural to grumble or complain when we are deprived of the things upon which we had set our hearts. Often we will have a struggle inside because the carnal mind wants to forget about all things we said about God above. But when we reflect on His attributes or the one who has given Himself unselfishly, the inner voice in us will say, "peace be still, it is will well with my soul".

Today resolve this inner conflict with "Peace be still" (Mark 4:39). Do not box me in or enclosed me in a circle. You can take everything I have, but let me be me as God promised, I will still become what He has created me to be.

"Treasured"

Today's OneWord is "Treasured"

In the name of Jesus, I cultivate inner Peace, the gentle, compassionate, lovable assets that God our most Gracious God delights in. Father, I ask that You superimpose Your desire for Your children to choose to be a treasured, loyal, compassionate, gentle, agreeable, sympathetic, loving and humble vessel, which You have created from the original plans and purposes of their lives!

You said Your children are created in your image and are blessed. Therefore, Father, their children are blessed to live and declare the glory of God. This is the day that You have made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it. We will! We will! We will sing, shout, rejoice and be exceedingly glad. Come alive unto us God. Allow our Spirit to connect with Your Spirit. God, I know You are leading us today, out of depression. You are leading us out of bondage. You are leading us out of setbacks You are leading us out of financial despair. You are leading us out of low self-esteem.

You are leading us into victory! You are leading us into Your glory! You are leading us into Peace! Speak to us Heavenly Father this morning! The man woman who is going through a tough time! The man or woman who desires to be free! The man or woman who wants to start again! The man or woman who wants to be given a second chance!

Speak this morning Heavenly Father, the man or woman who is held in captivity by condemnation! The child who wants to learn how to love and be loved! Your chosen offspring who wants to be forgiven and learn how to forgive! The hurt man or woman who wants victory from the past! The little boy or little girl inside who wants to know they matter. The mature adult who wants to know their purpose and plan You have for their life!

Meet us this morning Gracious Father and speak clearly to us! Speak to us in the car. Speak to us on our job. Speak to us in the rest room. Speak to us at Starbucks. Speak to us while pumping gas. Speak to us in our bedrooms or in the shower. Speak to us Father, we want to hear from You. Father wherever we are can You meet us there? Can You speak to us at that moment in the circumstance, and let us know Your presence rest upon our hearts.

Father, we cannot make it with You! We need You this morning Father! Speak to us Lord! It is Your children Father, we are standing in need of One WORD from You! Father, hear our heart's pray this morning and let us be "As deer pants for water, so their souls pants for You" (Psalms 42:1). Only You, Father, can do this for us! Only You can! Speak to us Father! We stand on Your promises. Every plot and planned that is not from You is annulled and we command and declare victory in the name of Jesus. We are treasured!

Forgiven!

Today's OneWord is "Forgiven"

The Bible says, "We have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and charter strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because He has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with His love' (Romans 5:1, 3-5).

Most Gracious Lord, our heart's prayer today is for You to teach us how to forgive as Jesus told Peter in Matthew 18:21-22, "Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?" Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy times seven." We pray we comprehend that Your love and forgiveness have no limits. Therefore, Heavenly Father, we abolish every stronghold and bondage that has kept us in lack or need due to unforgiveness. We pray that the limits of our love for others be increased. We pray for healing of the broken heart due to not forgiving. We decree and declare that You, Father abolish all unforgiveness due to rejection, abandonment, or manipulation. Set us free Lord! Not just delivered, but also SET us absolutely free!

I pray, You grant us the commemoration or our debt being cancelled at the cross of Calvary.  Bring to the forefront of our mind that Jesus gave a gift that should motivate each of us to forgive others. Father, place over us Your power and understanding that Your forgiveness is unlimited. And that You canceled a debt that we could never repay. Let us be humbled and thankful. Help us to remember the truth when we have an opportunity to forgive others who have wronged us. Father, do not let us hang on to anger, resentment, and bitterness when forgiveness brings about healing, freedom, and restoration. Your Word says, "Then you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free" (John 8:32).

Father as we prepare to forgive and are always ready to face the enemy who wants to bring doubt, separation, and discouragement help us put on Your armor. Father would You grant us the strength to "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on all of God's armors so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. Therefore, stand your ground putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For those shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith, to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" (Eph 6:10-11, 14-17).  Father, I ask You to help us put on each piece at the start of this day so we can stand and enjoy Your grace and peace. Father, we pray that we realize the best is yet to come in our lives.

We know we are covered in the name of Jesus. Amen!

“Negotiated”

Today's OneWord is "Negotiated"

Today, many of us have a messenger of Satan sent to harass us with all kinds of issues and problems. Satan will throw all kinds of nasty circumstances our way. God wants us to live a victorious life. Many times, we make decisions that cause us a lot more stress and perhaps could lead to death. We keep doing the same things repeatedly, and every time we get the same results. We like bumping our heads. We keep asking God to help us, and He does, we do the same things again. God has made a way of escape for us in all situations. However, enough is enough. We cannot let the enemy keep running over us. God is ready to set us free from the messenger that has been brought against us. God has made a way of escape, but we choose the other way. "Be Aware" is the warning signs we see in our peripheral, but we do not obey the caution.

Do not let the messenger of Satan make decisions for us. We should decide if we want to live a victorious life or not. We must start declaring and decreeing what we want in life. That means speak those things as though they were.

Satan wants to negotiate our promises from the Lord. Negotiate! He is not in any position to negotiate! We are not free agents being released from his team, and waiting on the highest bidder to pick us up! We are children of God! We are already placed on the winning bracket of God's teams! The Lord can provide all our needs, and we want to negotiate our blessings. We need to shut the door in Satan's face and tell him, I cannot be traded! We are not to be afraid of the devil defeating us! We are to believe what the Word of God said. The Word of God told us we could have victory over the enemy!

You remember the movie 'The Negotiator' with Sam Jackson, who in an anxious attempt to prove his innocence, from a competent police negotiator, who accused him of exploitation and murder when he took hostages in a government agency to obtain the time he needed to find the truth. We do not have to do that! Christ already negotiated our innocence. Do not let Satan negotiate! We have the authority to order the devil to flee. We are to "submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee" (James 4:7).

Jesus gave us the keys to freedom and released this kind of captivity. John 8:32 says, "And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." You do not have to negotiate your freedom; shut the door in Satan's face.

Stronger!

Today's OneWord is "Stronger"

If the world controls our thoughts then we are followers; if God controls our thinking, we are converters. If we support the world's behaviors and rituals, we become a replica of the world. If God allows us to renew our minds, we become new creatures. When we are strong, in faith, we believe spiritual truth, and we live by it.

Those who are strong in faith must be considerate of those who are sensitive. We were not created to satisfy ourselves. We were created to help each other grow. We should help each other do what is right. We are to build each other up in the Lord. Christ our Savior did not live to please Himself. Often Christians create tremendous conflicts because we have become cowards of confronting wrongdoing. Paul tells us that we are to be free from the concerns of this life. We are to face our responsibilities honestly.

Christians need to have discernment, but we are not to act like God in passing judgment. We must examine our own lives before we try to help others. Love does not sweep the dirt under the mat and walk away. If we are acting in love, then we are walking in truth. Ephesians 4:15 states, "Speak the truth in love." If a person has sinned against us, we are to talk to them privately and attempt to resolve the dispute. If the person listens, we have unity.

If we suffer for doing what is praiseworthy, God will reward us. People may hurt us, but they cannot harm us. If a person is accustomed to doing wrong, most mirrors become dirtier and dirtier until the glass is so stained that they cannot see themselves. If we are to continue to look at ourselves in the mirror, we must deal with sin in our lives and confess it quickly. We have to keep our mirrors clean, and spend time in God's Word. God's Word is true. Therefore, we must pay attention to the Word and take its message seriously.

The more we are in the Word the stronger we become. As chosen people, we are called to live worthy of our calling and not follow the world's way of doing things. We are to live in love and wisdom because we are God's children. Anything less than that then we do not realize we are part of His royal priesthood. We are stronger than we have ever been.

Go in peace, love, and joy. Knowing that where ever you are God is making you stronger.

“Motivated”

Today's OneWord is "Motivated"

Depression has a sneaking way of draining our energy and forcing us to question if we can trust God to be there when we need Him in our daily lives. Many of us know what we want to achieve in life. We have dreams and aspirations, but many of them fall to the side because of roadblocks along the way. Knowing that our mind set effects our destiny can help us shorten the trip along the way.

Elijah, one of Israel's greatest prophets who audaciously confronted King Ahab and the four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal, feel into a deep depression when Queen Jezebel threaten to kill him. In fact, Elijah did not even want to live anymore. He was so afraid that he ran for his life, taking his servants with him. He ran to Beersheba and left his servants there. Now he was alone. He walked for a whole day in the desert. He was hurting so badly that he set under a tree and asked God to let Him die. Elijah told God, "I have had enough, Lord." He prayed, "Let me die." This is what happens when we misplace our focus on God's promises. We like Elijah lose our ability to thinking correctly, our appetite, and we isolated ourselves from everyone around us. If a prophet like Elijah could ask God to take his life because He did not want to face his problems, where do we stand. Even us as leading men and women of God will struggle with our day-to-day activities, but God's power is our answer. Elijah was a courageous man. However, He responded in fear and landed in depression.

Fear is a key component of depression. "Worry is a heavy load [leads to depression], but a kind [good] word cheers you up" (Proverbs 12:25). When we are depressed, God shows us His loving concern and a way out. He wants us to get up and do something. He does not want us to waddling in our mess. He wants us to speak life to our situation. Just as, He did for Elijah, He will respond to us with mercy. He will not criticize, reprimand, or condemn. He will just ask us, "My child! Why Are You Here?" He will supply us all the comforts we need. He will take care of our physically and spiritually necessities. We sometimes behave as Elijah; we think that we are in this alone. We have to learn that God will walk through the valley of the shadow of death with us. He will not forsake us. Even when we are in the depth of depression, God wants us to have the best. He cares for us. We must know that during our trails and pains of today, there is a better tomorrow.

Today be motivated by simply deciding to change. Start telling yourself, "I have decided…I will live and not die." "I have decided…to laugh and love." I have decided to speak those things as though they were." I have decided…I am more than a conquer." I have decided…I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength." As we begin to speak these affirmations, we will be motivated to change. We will be motivated to seek God for our problems. In addition, we will be motivated to do differently.

“Released”

Today's OneWord is "Released"

Heavenly Father, most Gracious God, we love, honor and adore You. Heavenly Father, we praise Your Holy Name. Thank You Lord, You are our God; we will exalt You. Heavenly Father, we will give thanks to Your Name. Heavenly Father, You have worked miracles, wonders in our lives because of Your faithfulness. Heavenly Father, You are our strength and You have become our salvation.

We come to You now in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, We ask You to destroy eliminate and pull down every demonic strongholds that are in our homes, cars, trucks, mind, property, businesses, marriages, jobs and finances. Heavenly Father, We ask You to cover us with Your anointing, glory, and presence. Heavenly Father, give us a fresh release and flow from our inner most being with rivers of living water that will spring forth abundantly with favor, compassion, and love. Heavenly Father, Jesus says in John 14:13-14, "If you ask for anything in my Name, I will do it for you so that the Father's glory will be shown through the Son. If you ask me for anything in my name, I will do it."

Therefore, Heavenly Father let Your love shine through us into others. Heavenly Father, we command our mind, emotions, ego, imaginations, thoughts, desires and will to come now in obedience to Christ. Heavenly Father, we ask You to destroy and remove all yokes of bondages that are hindering our rightful walk with You. Heavenly Father, we are standing on the truth of Your Word. You said You would give us the Keys to the Kingdom, that whatsoever we bind on earth would be bound in heaven and whatsoever we would loose on earth would be loosed in heaven. Therefore, Heavenly Father, we bind our will to God's will. Heavenly Father, we loose doubt and confusion from ourselves. Heavenly Father, we repent for every wrong desire, nasty attitude, and ill thinking we have had. Forgive us, Heavenly Father, for holding on to past hurts too long, scheming and plotting against others, manipulating things to fit our needs, and behavior and habits that do not edify the kingdom. Heavenly Father, we choose not to miss Your grace because of roots of resentment or bitterness in our lives. We will watch and pray that we will not allow or cause others to stumble. Heavenly Father thank You that you watch over Your Word to perform it and that Whom Christ has set free is free indeed.

Today, Heavenly Father, we take back every bit of blessing, peace, joy, love, freedom, and spiritual and material property that was set up to be given to us from Your original plan and purpose of our lives. We praise Your Magnificent Name forever and may the entire earth be filled with Your glory and honor. We are released to be free. Amen.
